Introduction
This short post answers readers' questions about using virtual serial port software to communicate with an EPEVER solar battery charger fitted with an ELFIN EW11A.
New Monitoring Software
EPEVER replaced Solar Station Monitor with SolarGuardian. The software works well with the ELFIN EW11A WiFi-to-RS485 bridge. The SolarGuardian software package supports Ethernet connectivity as standard. Therefore, the HW Virtual Serial Port software previously used to connect a Windows computer to Solar Station Monitor is no longer required.
